"The mind, when housed within a healthful body, possesses a glorious sense of power."
Joseph Pilates
Its well known that sitting all day has a detrimental effect on the body. 8 hours in pretty much the same position, repeating the same movements takes its toll. Not only does this impact working performance it can also lead to long-term physical problems.
However with
appropriate, regular exercise we can, not only relieve the short-term impact of these
stresses and strains but we can actually reverse the damage.
WHY PIlates
Pilates is a holistic form of exercise, which focuses on balance, posture, strength and flexibility, ideally suited to reverse the impact of long periods of the day spent working at a desk.
I have created a unique blended class particularly for corporate clients. Using the best Pilates exercises along side yoga based stretches classes are designed to strengthen and mobilise the body specifically while alleviating stiffness and tension in the body while improving postural and body awareness. My rehabilitation training enables me to teach a mixed ability class, so classes are safe for everyone regardless of ability.

Mental Health Benefits
Most of us know about the physical benefits of exercise, but
Pilates not only benefits the body. Taking as little as 30 minutes a day once
or twice a week for a class, has been proven to increase wellbeing and
productivity.
Pilates is a form of holistic exercise which not only has
physical benefits, as it requires concentration and focus it also helps us to connect
with our bodies and calms the mind. Relieving the stress and worry of the day by
refocusing on the body and its movement, calming the nervous system and
distracting us from our habitual worrying patterns.
Post session enabling staff to return to work not only feeling
physically better but calmer and positive.
HOW IT WORKS
I currently run several corporate classes and they have proved to be
hugely popular.
Staff really appreciate the perk of an employer providing well-being
facilities, they are an inexpensive way for employers to help
staff working from home where they don't necessarily have the benefit of
proper office furniture or corporate facilities.
Currently all run over zoom my classes are fun, and
accessible. They are as beneficial to beginners as they are to to experienced
practitioners.
